Catherine Macfee & Associates is widely recognized for its ability to create innovative interiors with a timeless quality. The scope of our services ranges from room accessorizing to full scale residential remodeling, space planning to comprehensive design services for new construction.
President and Principal Designer Catherine Macfee studied at both the University of Oregon and San Francisco's Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) and is an Allied Member of the ASID. In addition to her more than ten years of residential interior design experience, Catherine has also created displays for the Ritz-Carlton hotel and Pastis Restaurant for the annual March of Dimes Gourmet Gala, and served as Representative and Design Liaison for the San Francisco "Idea House". Her work has been featured in Sunset Magazine, Today's Homeowner, House Beautiful Kitchen & Baths, Diablo Magazine and The Kitchen Idea Book.
Catherine Macfee & Associates' recent transformation of a formerly white-walled and neutral-toned ski cabin into a warm and spirited family retreat, fondly named "Fish Lip Lodge", won the firm a special commendation when the lodge was pronounced "Home of the Year 2000" by Mountain Living magazine.
